Information Providers, Inc. informpics Privacy Notice

Last updated: 09/26/2026

1. Scope. This notice explains how Information Providers, Inc. ("IPI," "we," "us") collects and uses information through the informpics mobile app. IPI built and operates informpics on behalf of your insurance company, so that you can complete a property self-survey your insurance company has requested.

2. Information we receive from your insurance company. Your insurance company provides us with your name, the property address, your policy number, the name of your insurance company and your servicing agent or agency, and your mobile phone number. We use this to identify your survey and show it to you in the app so you can confirm it is correct.

3. Information collected through the app.

4. How we use it. We use this information to complete the survey your insurance company requested and deliver it to them; to confirm the survey is completed at the property; to check photo quality, both on your phone (for example, blur and darkness) and with additional automated checks on our servers; to provide support and fix problems; and to protect the service against misuse and fraud.

5. Who we share it with. We share your photos, answers and related survey information with your insurance company. We also share information with service providers who help us operate informpics, for example to deliver text messages, host our systems and review photo quality. They may use it only to help us complete what your insurance company requested. We may also disclose information when required by law.

6. What we don't do. We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

7. Camera and location permissions. informpics asks for camera access so you can take the survey photos, and for location access while the app is in use. You can change either permission at any time in your phone's settings. Declining location does not prevent you from completing the survey.

8. Information stored on your phone. To let you stop and continue later, and to send photos when you have a connection, the app keeps your progress and photos within the app's own storage on your phone. They are not saved to your photo library. Uninstalling the app removes them.

9. How long we keep it. Photos and answers that become part of your completed survey are kept as part of IPI's inspection records and delivered to your insurance company. We keep them as our agreement with your insurance company and applicable law require. Photos that are not used in the survey, such as ones you delete in the app or ones that fail a quality check, are removed from our systems within 60 days.

10. Your requests. To ask about, access or request deletion of your information, contact us using the details below. Because the survey was requested by your insurance company, we may need to involve them in responding.

11. Children. informpics is intended for insurance policyholders and is not directed to children.

12. Security. Information sent between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit. We maintain reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect your information.

13. Text messages. Text messages related to informpics are described in our SMS Terms & Conditions at https://www.informationproviders.com/content/documents/sms_terms_conditions.html.

14. Changes. We may update this notice from time to time. The current version is always posted at https://www.informationproviders.com/content/documents/informpics_privacy_notice.html.
